Bugger.. :(

Well, I'm alive.. Might have a fractured bone in my shoulder, but the doc said he couldn't do anything for that anyway except give me more drugs.. Mmm.. Magic whistle... :D

Mainly muscle injuries. Bike has: bent rear brake lever, dinged up headlight, dinged up exhaust, scuffed front brake lever, scratches on ducktail. I think I got off lightly all things considered.

Don't forget to wear your gear! I went through the leathers at the knees, and still managed to draw blood on the bitumen.

As for me coming off, it was my fault entirely. I'd just gone past JimmyTheHuman and had a quick squirt going through Pakenham Upper. I'd slowed down a bit, and was looking behind me to see where he was. Turned back forwards again, and the corner was a little closer than I expected. Tipped it in hard, which would have been OK, but I hadn't scrubbed that far over on the new front tyre, and it started to slip. Even that would have been OK, but then I hit the gravel still on the side of the road after the re-surfacing, and it was all over (and over and over and over  )

I've had a closer look at the gear this morning. The Alpinestars textile jacket didn't actually tear on the shoulder where I lost skin, so I dunno what happened there. The helmet is still farked, I went through the carbon fibre knuckles on the gloves as well. The boots have a small chunk taken out of the toe.

Thanks to FoxyZX6R for taking the call to come and get me and the bike at 730am.

Mate, that sucks. Sorry to hear that Macca. Glad not too much damge to either you or the bike. :(

But look on the bright side. Both you and foxy have had yr spills and can now get on with enjoying your bikes. Statistically you should be safe now! :) Gis a yell if you need a hand!

Doesn't sound like fun Macca but I suppose our slips & drops teach us a lesson for future riding. Least you've got Marranda to pamper you.. :D

Cheers everyone..

Strika - There's more damage to me than the bike, but I don't cost money to repair.. ;) I told Marranda that I only came off to pay her back from when I had to go to ED to pick her up. :D I've left my gift to the Road Gods, so I should be safe for a while.

Gig - I've learnt real good. Coming off on the bitumen hurts a shitload more than coming off on the dirt. :(

PhotoMike - Should be easy to fix (only really cosmetic). Might take me a while to get better though. :(

Circlework - The Doc said "just take it easy". There's nothing he can do except give me pain relief, unless I want a full upper body cast. (Might be good for sympathy at work, but that's about it!) Apparently it'll heal ok if I take it easy.

Neka - I still plan on being at HG, even if I have to get Marranda to pillion me down! :D As for the pain relief, I'm getting stuck into my liquid relief - Jimmy Black. :)

Les - You better believe it - I'm on all sorts of pills, and with the liquid pain relief, it's all wonderful..

Javaman - No more organised Netrider rides for me. I think I'll stick to the PM & MSN'd rides.

Kishy - Yeah, shouldn't take much to panel beat it back to fairly straight. I'll tell Jimmy you said Hi..

Lainie - Thanks. It could have been a whole lot worse. Hooray for naked bikes - If I had fairings I'd probably have to streetfighter it.. :D
