Hi guys, can you please recommend a decent kawa mechanic in the Sydney area. The guy who used to take care of my bike ('97 ZZR600) for the last two years decided to move back to NZ. He was fantastic and always done an excellent job so it's pain in the ass to have to look for a new one

The bike needs 50k service.

Might be a bit of a ride but Narellen Kawasaki, our newest sponsor, is worth checking out...
I'll be doing so when i get my next service.

...and I'm sure Richard wouldn't mind giving you the 06 ZX10 demo as a loan bike for the day
Sorry Richard, it was worth a try......

BMS (Beaconsfield Motorcycle Supermarket / 02 9318-0008) Motorcycles are pretty close to your way in Zetland (near the corner of Epsom Rd & Botany Road, if coming from epsom rd you turn right, and they are just on the left, use beaconsfield lane for workshop access). It's only about 4-5km from where you are, tops.
Call them first and make an appointment if you want to dive right in and trust them blind (i would, and did

), or feel free to duck in and have a peek first to keep yourself satisfied.
One thing to remember is that 90% of their revenue comes from servicing bikes, i'd happily give them my cash as a) they are a lot cheaper than other shops b) they do quality work.

I just got my bike back from a 24000km "service everything" job (along with some new sprockets and chain for my move to SA) at Narellan, I was happy with the service and no need to worry about some pimply apprentice forgetting to tighten up the sump plug

. They even properly filled out my warranty book whereas SCM Lane Cove & Liverpool only just stamped it for the 6, 12 and 18k services.

Thanks guys, I work in Rosebery so I'll have a look at the BMS shop. I'd like to support our sponsors but Narellan is quite far away from Coogee. On the other hand, if they offer loan bikes for two days ...
