I posted this on another site and it was suggested I try here...
I have a question about buying a new bike. I'm planning on selling or trading in my 2001 ZZR250 and upgrading to a 2006 Ninja ZX6R.
I understand it's all about bargaining.. and I'm a girl and don't want to be ripped off.
So if the dealer has it listed as $14,990 plus on-road costs - what range should I reasonably expect to pay?
It's been suggested I could ride away for ~$13K without a trade-in. Anyone else got an idea?

If u let us know what stae/city u r in we could also recommend what dealers to go to and avoid.
Offer them cash, that usually helps

I really have no idea..and maybe i'm a pessimist..but 13k sounds like a really hard deal. considering 14,990 plus onroads = high $15,000 ish -$16k.... maybe you can get one for high 13k's? not sure..but migth consider 2nd hand..always save a few grand there for a few thousands km's on the clock

Anyone in Vic know anything about Floyd Parkes Kawasaki? They said $16K on road, but wouldn't give me their best offer over the phone..

Its amazing what you can get if you walk in with 130 x 100 dollar notes....
Watch them stumble over themselves to make a deal with that...
and just keep repeating... "Thats all I have.... And THAT is the bike I want...."
