Painting Chain Guard???

Post by JoshZX-6 »

Hey...
I've already sanded and undercoated my chain guard with plastic primer.

Just wondering what paint i should use out of a range at autobarn or somewhere like that that would be exact or very close to my green, or what the paint code is if i have to unavoidably go to kawasaki to get it off them
(anyone know how much a can would cost off them or if touch up paint would be enough to do the whole guard)

Ps. bike is 95 zx-6 green and white one

Yeah - can't wait to see a pic of this - I was thinking of doing the same thing (and the hugger, too) - post up a pic for us when done :)

Will be good to see how the colour turns out, too.

Well mixed results in that i got an absolutely brilliant finish and took all of 30 mins to do with 3 coats of colour and 2 of clear but i think im gonna have to go to kawakaki on monday and get some touch up paint cause the green is too green...

doesn't stand out to much but i will need to fix it eventually.
really easy job to do tho if ur thinkin bout it.
Thinkin im gonna tape up one half and do it half white and half the correct green to match the bike a bit better...[/img]
