Sue them.
Consult our in-house solicitor, Neka.
But first of all, we'll appreciate if u tell us where u are and where did u get the bike from.

USE PREMIUM unleaded from a reputible dealer like bp or caltex as my guess is that its paint stripper in the petril

yup..id have to agree...
i spilt fuel on my tank when i took the tank off to change plugs...didnt realise id dribbled fuel all over the tank..and bam..2 days later paint flaking everywhere!!
if u do spill fuel on ur tank, grab a piece of paper, dampen it & wash it off str8 away...and wash it properly ASAP

hey guys.
first of all... my bike is spaking new. it's always under cover... or got a cover over it when outside.
secondly... when i pour fuel... i never split a drop on the tank... especiall near where the pain is falling off... i always put my hand over the fuel pump mouth when taking it out of the tank ... so no way fuel has gotten onto the tank.
yes the bike is underwarranty.... and yep i'm in brisbane...
would i be looking at a respray from the dealer?? the colour isn't going to match the rest of the bike is it!
i'll try post some photos up soon.

Probably the same one yappa goes to for his paintjobs.
See if you can take it too silver star or quality bike repairs they can get it right first time.

It's gotta be a warrnaty job for sure, but unfortunately any warranty claim depends on the store front/ OEM's policy.
You may get some joy but i doubt it, thats the same shop front that is resposible for Yappa's bike requiring 10 (count them) 10 paint jobs & he's still riding a loaner after nearly 10 months of drama.
The only joy i can see is that its a new colour & they should be doing plenty of Insurance jobbies on newer bikes so hopefully they will get it right first time.
hth.
Cheers Brett

U might have guessed why I asked. Many did not have good experience with them.
For me, I will demand them to change the tank completely. If paint starts peeling, who knows there might be rust or watever crap underneath or even in the tank. I would also do an inspection on other parts of the bike. Call me paranoid, but hey, it's a brand new bike!
