u might as well keep increasing the pommy population in Melbourne.

Weather is great in Brisbane but as a pom you'll broil in summer and come up looking something like a lobster. Melbourne has far far better motorbike shopping and we are the only state in Australia where you can rock up to a shop, park the bike on the footpath outside the shop and leave it there legally
Footpath parking rocks!!!!

I don't mind snow at all, as long as it's somewhere I have to travel at least an hour to get too

Ginger's Creek - right bang in the middle of the Oxley Highway in NSW.
Not much there (well, there's a pub) and some sheep...
but gee it's the best road in NSW.

Congratulations Half,
Arrived in Melbourne two years ago and never complained about riding here in Victoria. Great roads, plenty of mountains, beaches. Best race track in the world ... F1, MotoGP, Superbike, the Air show .... Best roads in the country such as the great ocean road, the great alpine road etc (but is rivaled by Tasmania I think...)
As mentioned one can park on the footpath ... and have a really loud pipe as well. Toll is free for bike (well, currently).
Some days will be cold but nothing freezing. Cold is better than hot anyway ...

Need I say More?
Melbourne 'world's top city'
February 6, 2004
Often derided as Bleak City by Sydneysiders, Melbourne topped a survey of 130 cities, narrowly beating out the other four Australian capitals surveyed - because its weather rated the best.

I think my opinion is valid... I lived in Melbourne for any years and have now been in Brisbane for about 9 years... let's just say I won't be going back to Melbourne any time soon!
