as most of you know
I have had a long holiday overseas
London Rome Athens Istanbul (and those countries)

apart from the UK where i saw quite a few sportsbikes on the
motorways, one thing that i noticed was that there
were vitually NO sportsbikes on the roads in Italy Greece
or Turkey..plenty of scooters or mopeds

I finally came across one in Athens (see pic ) below
..the guy who owned it came out when he saw me taking
a piccie of it... he was an Aussie of greek descent
(comes from Brunswick in Melb!) who spends
6 months in Greece, 6 months in Oz ..nice I reckon

lots ride stuff like TDMs or Varaderos

and very few wear helmets !

and i had a chuckle at this display of 'sports' bikes in Turkey (Istanbul)
The sign on the end of the trailer said' Mondial Sports bikes'
..think not

Realise scoooters are the go over there, perhaps it's a spacial thing? Too many people to justify a decent sports bike? Mate of mine is in Japan currently and he sent me some pics of the rides over there, some fairly "interesting" pieces of machinery.

Kinda gather he took pics of the more unusual rather than the usual though, he has an Arts degree, need I elaborate?

Hmmm... whatever happened to european bike nuts? I thought they all would be like ghostriders ?

I think the Western Euros are more into the sporty stuff.
