I am after a disc lock, who here uses them?
What brand do you prefer and why?
Thanks

I use one but can't remember what the brand is...
It's heavy and shiny...

Mine's a kryptonite I think - use it all the time.
I'm not sure how much brand matters.
Just make sure you get one of those bright loopy reminder leads so that you don't forget it's on

I also have a Kryptonite disc lock (and chain). Used it for almost a decade, never failed and have never had a bike stolen. The neon wire over the bars is definately a good idea

I have a Xena alarm disk lock...
The alarm is not only to warn you if someone is messing with your bike but should also stop you from riding off with it on...
Only problem is its not too sensitive so you can actually get going before the alarm goes. Then it serves to let everyone know what you just did...
I'd still recommend it though....

Pretty sure mine is a Kryptonite. Haven't yet forgotten to take it off before taking off.
It is yellow.
It is heavy.
Good ammo to throw at car driver who cuts you off.

I think I paid $79.95 for mine. They do start a bit cheaper and I have seen them for up to $119.95

I had both of mine replaced and now have a spare. It goes on the end of a big MF twisted braid cable and you can loop it around something, around your bike and then lock the mutha. Top shit, except I don't need both out here

there are only certain years the Kryptonite locks were shite, and a new one certainly won't have the issue. I paid just over 100 pounds for the lock and a 1 metre chain
