1977 Z400 D4

Post by DJC72 »

Just a quick question. I have been looking at service manuals and have purchased a Kawasaki one on EBay matching my bike being a 77 400 D. The only thing is it just about all the manuals say KZ (American) instead of just Z. I now realise that I also need a parts manual. If it states KZ instead of Z are the part numbers interchangeable?

Thanks Kwakked up. I have finally been able to find a parts supplier and it appears that you are correct.

Yeah - there MIGHT be some weird "CARB" stuff for emissions in Califoniaye, but though this bike might even predate all that guff. Until you know different assume it's the same...

Yep Brett the carbs seem to be the main difference. At least on mega-zip I can see that the parts are the same as mine.
