ZXR750 J-K-L-M or ZX9B oil pickup wanted

Post by greenman43 »

Has anybody got a spare one please ? The one in my bike is clogged up with what seems very much like chewed-up camchain guide which won't clean out; it would probably flow enough for road use, but not for the track.

ZX7R is different due to the deeper sump.

Cheers,
Brian

There's a five on eBay ranging from $42 to $75 but all international and postage is The most expensive bit. Might be able to get cheaper postage if you ask them

Cheers

Thanks Brian, checked today and new price is only $36; unless one turns up locally, I'll buy new.

Ahh that's not too bad then. I've bought a few bits cheaper through my local Kwaka dealer then what I could find on eBay. Definitely pays to check hey

From memory the rubber guide under the rocker cover wasn't too expensive either.

Definitely won't be replacing the guide, in fact next rebuild I'll be grinding the mounting bosses off - don't need to risk it coming off again. None of the previous superbike motors I've had kept them, and I don't believe cam timing suffered for it.

Besides, it' another few g saved ! :D
