ZZR 1100 C Gearbox noise

Hi everyone. Just recently noticed that when my 1990 C1 is in neutral when the clutch lever is in its quiet. Then when I let it out there's a slight engagement noise from the gearbox. Is this a sign the clutch is starting to go??

There is an issue with the starter chain tensioner that might require a visit to Expensive Lightweight Stuff...

Apparently you can see 'fretting' on the clutch basket somehow as a clue?
