Dunlops

hey guys i'm havin a bit of trouble getting a hold of some bridgestone bt45s fo the zxr250.
i've been quoted $300 fitted for some dunlop 501s
and $360 fitted and balanced for Bridgestone Battlex 92s
anyone got any opinions on these tyres or any alternative suggestons?
a dual composite tyre would be great cos i ride to work and don't wanna flatten the middle as quick as i did with these tyres.

I've got a Dunlop 207 on the front and some stange Dunlop dual-compound sport-tourer thing on the back...must say, very good so far

mate the bridgestone dual compound is good but dunlop supposidely make a tyre for the 250's thats unbeatable.
but for commuting go the bridgestones.

I'd go Pirelli Sport Demons.
Best tyres you can put on an Across... and I recon just all-round great tyres for the 250s.
They have a slightly sharper aspect ratio but conform very well so I never noticed any weird feeling from the slightly higher curve in the rear tyre. I guess as a result, they seemed to have kept a really nice shape, heaps less squaring than my old battlexe 96 "road race" tyres got.
Check 'em out; newer tech than any other 250 tyre out, at least, when I got them mid last year.

Dung-Flops?? Give them a miss and stick something decent on.
Would you really buy a tyre from a company that considers Dunlop Volleys to be sports shoes?

Sure are, heaps grippy and floppy without much 'give' in the sole.
I use them for traversing or ascending when I'm climbing. Better than anything else under $150, pretty light, easy to pack, cheap enough to destroy.
Hurray for volleys.

they needed replacing anyway, back was pretty square.

for the Pirelli Sport Demons. I had them on my ZZR 250 and they were great. On the road, commuting and at the track. Great performance. Here is proof...

Deisel what are the Exact sizes for the ZXR250 & How little can you get a pair of new hoops fitted down there ?.
May have something to help you out after i get the info so watch this space mate.

PS Dunlop make great affordable slicks, other then that i reckon they are best served by being tied onto the side of tug boats
