1991 ZXR750

Hi to all ,
Can anyone tell me if a 1993 ZXR750 wiring harness will fit a 1991 J model ?
Doing a resto and the 1991 harness has been cut ,shut and chopped some more .
Have sourced a prime harness off a 1993 bike but not sure .
Anyone ? Dave

I can't help here as I've never had much to do with this model, but maybe a phone call to a Kawasaki dealer/service dept would yield a quicker response.
Post up some pics of your resto.

they will be really similar but not 100% the same. What you need to do is google search for the wiring diagram from both bikes - then print them out in colour and check the wiring connections etc - that way.

yeh that is a good site - also cmnsl.com works.
The only issue is that the wiring loom may have 1 small insignificant change - and it will have a different part number.....but in this case, both harnesses have part # 26030 - so I think you will be in luck
Here is the link to the 93 model L1 ZXR electrical components page. If you have a look at the J1 model - the picture of the wiring harnesses looks pretty much identical to me .

Yep your right Gosling , different part numbers but basically the same harness .
Although i learnt from the Kawa Dealer that they are close up to about an "M model of the ZXR750 and that the European Harness and not the Yank one is the one to have here in OZ .
The ZX7"s start to have quite a few changes apparently .
