What would you get?

Well I've sold my zed and now I'm looking for a cage!

It's sad but a new bike will be on the horizon in the not too distant future.... :D

I wouldn't mind a comfortable cage. I have a max of $11k to spend...

To give you some idea of what I'm looking at I've considered

05-07 liberty either a 2.5 or 3.0l
02-07 Audi a4
Ve commy wagon
05 v50 Volvo wagon

Would prefer a manual but it really depends on the car

Does anyone have some suggestions as to what else I should look at?

What would you buy?

Anyone have experience with any of the above? good or bad?

Cheers guys

Steer clear of Euros. When they're old they are heaps of crap....actually when they're new Theyre heaps of crap too. If I had $11k for a second hand car that excited me it would be an SS Commodore, probably a VY. Totally bulletproof and much fun.

Experience from years of working on my own shit:
Rule 1: Buy Japanese. Especially when its going to be not-so-new in your posession.
Rule 2: Buy a car that is/was sold in the US - parts will always be available and cheap.

Try a turbo one and then think a $400 tune will get you 60kw more power.

We've had subies for the last 12 years with not a single problem.
Currently have a GT liberty Wagon with 300kw.
The ladyfriend loves smoking the boy racers in their SS' s at the traffic lights.

Loved my 3.0 liberty (MY05) but sold it at 260k kms for a transit to transport tracky.
Should have kept it. :(

Current drive is a WK 5.7 Statesman. Heaps of power with lots of space and comfy for my old bones.
Has big seats for my fat arse as well.

Jap car is looking likely.... Don't think I can afford a manual turbo liberty with reasonable ks though? That would be nice though .... 3.0l liberty's are hard to come by...

Not bought young fella. Leased on a fully maintained Op lease by Vinidex ;) It's the only way I'd take one.
