helmet mounted camera
Hi, am after some advice on the best camera to mount on my helmet - GoPros a bit expensive.
I want it purely to record what happens as I ride to and from work for use against wankers - following a P plater intentionally trying to take me out yesterday when I upset her by legally lane filtering. I have spoken with the police and they advised that I get one as it is really the only way for them to do anything unless I am in an area with traffic monitoring cameras.
Suggestions please?
Thanks
Ben

Check the sound too Dave.
The YouTube vids from those cheap one's don't have the sound and picture lined up. Unless its just a dodgy edit.
I wanted to get one for different shots on the bike

I have a contour roam 2 which I picked up second hand for about $200. I mainly use it for the dirt bike, but it had a good video and very easy to use and doesn't stick out stupidly like the go-pro's. the other one I was looking at is the drifts, they seem quite cheap and are a decent camera.

There are a few round that overwrite when the card gets full. If you can get one it saves a lot of messing around. The more expensive ones you can hardwire in and basically ignore then until you need the footage.

I got a Navig8tor from Hardly Normal. It's the higher definition cheapy. It has a car mode that works on a loop so you're constantly recording. If you plug it into the ciggy lighter in your car it automatically turns itself on and off with the car. Set and forget until you need the footage one day.

I hope it isn't the one for $58 as its the same as the one we bought at Kmart for $39 - it also has the car mode loop...dutchy wrote:I got a Navig8tor from Hardly Normal.
