Hey all...

This pic is pretty special, to me any ways, for a few reasons. :kuda:

A bit of back ground.
Over 30 years ago, shit I feel old now   , I had a Rickman  with a very hot Honda Four motor. Bored to the max, they said it was 905 cc, two x twin 45mm side draft Webbers, Yoshi 4-1 short racing exhaust etc etc. The bike was a weapon  and handled like it was on rails.

Just out side of town there was a bit of twisty road around the bottom of the local mountain that had a concrete creek crossing, which we called "the dip". Every so often we would go out there and take turns of tearing through the dip seeing who could get the most air or pull the longest wheelie. There were generally 10 - 15 of us with bikes, that would be now classed almost as classics, Z900, Mark 1 and Mark II Z1000s, Suzuki 750 water bottle, about 6 Honda fours, a couple of RD 250s.

On this occasion there were a few car loads of on lookers, one of which was my Dad. After about an hour of watching us lunatics, he decided he wanted go back into town. He asked me to take him in on the bike, and by the way, he wanted to go through the dip!

The pic shows me and Dad just as we were about to go, notice no helmet   . In the back ground you can also see us coming, rather sedately, through the dip.

As I said this is a special pic for me. firstly as it has me and Dad, who passed away just a little while ago, on the bike, but secondly this was taken 30 years ago on an old, even for then, Kodak camera. My mate who took the pic thinks that after taking the shot of us ready to go, when he wound the camera forward ( you youngens may not comprehend that bit ), it must not have worked properly and when he took the pic of us coming through it must have super imposed on to the previous one.

The Chemist ( that's were we would get our pics developed back then, took over a week) said that as far as he knew it should be impossible to get a shot like that.
Any how I thought I'd share it

Cheers

Gos,
We have a small vineyard out near Pokolbin, we moved up there a few years ago when I got a job at Morisset. Unfortunately the job become redundant :x :x and now working back in Sydney. The wife and I go up every weekend. We love it. :kuda:

Great area for riding, both the roady and the dirt bikes :kuda: :kuda:

Great photo and story mate.

I remember having a lid the same shape as your AGV ie tiny chin bar only it was an Arai. We should kick off an old photo thread 8)

the double exposure is basically just not winding the film forward after shooting... would actually be an easy mistake to make
