hi all. I have a 84 klr 250 that has dropped an exhaust valve, which is a common fault I have heard. the bike is very original, down to the blue seat which has no tears or marks. it has been sitting for about 3 years. the motor is out,but I haven't taken the head off to check for the problem. my dilemma is that I want to get the gpz900r back on the road and don't think I can do the klr too. I am thinking that I will need at least one new valve and grind the rest if ok. then hone the bore and get a new piston and rings. is their a mod. for the valve problem, ie better springs or guides etc ? what would be an approximant cost to do this re-build please ? other wise It may be best to sell it as is or part it out. thanx. cheers 8)
