I was at winton for a track day Sunday and cops were in an out a few times in the morning checking everything out. Maybe they thought he was there. Don't no.

Vic police regularly do inspections at track days looking for stolen bikes that have been turned into track bikes, so it probably was that, but I'm sure they would have checked for that guy as well seeing that it was in that area.

Odd logic. If he was a trackday regular then you'd think he was less likely to be riding like that on the highway...

Trackday regular more likely to be comfortable with a bike at speed though
I guess they didn't get a numberplate on the video?

yep, not only would a trackday junkie be almost totally unlikely to ride like that on the street............it is exactly the sort of behaviour you would expect from someone who has never done a track day and does not know what *time & place* means...

Wish I had a dollar for everytime I had spent $2.50 or more on that road. Can't think of a much safer place really.......
But....speeding is such a terrible thing to do. Worse than murder or kiddie tampering.

Apparently they got 1A off it nothing else.
Its a difficult one as the Herald sun has done a big beat up on it and even have an editorial that talks about if it had a front number plate blah blah blah.
Yet most people who own sports bikes have gone pretty fast on them. 273km is admittedly at the higher end but still......
I just wish they treated rapists and murderers with the same contempt and distain they do speeding drivers. They are talking about locking the guy up and yet they let a multiple rapist continually stay on parole just so he could rape and murder a young lady.
I'm not condoning him speeding away to 273km and he should've pulled over when he was originally busted for 140 but seriously........

Although he won by not being caught, he should be annoyed for not getting into $3 club.
How did the cop know he was doing $2.70 when he gave up chase @ $1.40?

I blame the ridiculous Hoon laws, the poor bloke knew he was gunna lose his bike so he rightfully thought "Fuck that for a game of skittles" & twisted the throttle... society is to blame.
I see it as a win for the good guys.

There was one on Highway patrol, drunk rider, unlicensed and un-registered appeared to be riding a black ZX7. done a U-turn and ran into the cop car.
