There's corbin and sargents aftermarket but they are pretty expensive, there is also a sponsor http://www.vcmcycleseats.com.au/ who redo the stock seats apparently he's pretty good from the feedback.

Airhawk X 2, put one on the ZX7 for the run home from the island (wished i had it on the way down) absolutly awesome, except can be a pain in the real twisty stuff as mine kept moving off the seat, but for the majority it's awesome.

Airhawk is the go. Drop the air pressure till your bum is just off the seat. Mine doesn't move. On the street triple I just use the small pillion pad.

I don't know if Kev (VCM) is still doing seats or not, but I've seen some that he did and to be honest they were a bit average in comparison to Mick at Goulburn. http://www.mjmcustommotorbikeseats.com.au/ He's not a sponsor, but he does great work and is a bit closer to you. He did the seat on my ZRX and did an awesome job on it.

Out of Sargent and Corbin, every Corbin I have sat on was extremely uncomfortable and every Sargent felt pretty good, so the Sargent would be my second choice after getting Mick at MJM to fix your stock one.

An Airhawk is great if you just plant your arse, but not so good if you hang off the bike a lot in the twisties.

G'day Nelso, new guy here. Have'nt introduced myself yet but 48 years young, live in Sydney and have owned a mint 2008 ZRX 1200r for a couple of weeks now. I am happy with the bike (except for the seat). I have added risers which have brought the handlebars closer but find the angle of the seat has me leaning into the tank. I would prefer to sit flatter, and have E Mailed Mick. If possible, can you post a picture of your seat? If you don't mind me asking, how much should I pay for this mod? Thanks, Rob

I've got a Sargent on the ZRX and if you don't go for the modified version like Nelso I can vouch for the Sargent. I've felt a Sargent for a Z1000 and its nice.

Sorry mate, I missed this the other day. If you want, I can still put a pick up, but it sounds like you're sorted. Mine is built up much higher to give me more leg room, but I also have another seat that is modified that has the forward tilt cut out of it too. They are both a lot more comfortable than the original seat.

No problem, I was anxious to sort the seat out because I'm going on a road trip to Coffs Harbour next weekend. I've changed out the risers which have brought the bars closer. I've had to stuff some foam under my sheepskin pad for the time being...yeah I know...but it works. At least now I know for sure I need a flatter seat. I'll sort it out with Mick in a couple of weeks. Unless someone can sell me a Sargents seat???
