Today the rubber connectors on the front indicators of the 12 finaly decided that they had been on long enough one had compleatly broke away while the other has just split . Maybe The quick trip to work helped to reduce their life. Acording to our local dealer its a common problem. Has any one else had it happen and did you replace them, or use aftermarket stuff like flush mount led or some other. I was thinking of replacing the original rubbers and removing the whole thing keeping the stock parts in good nick in the shed and replacing them with flush mount leds. Can the flush ones be seen just as well from the front as the side or should i look for something with a stalk .Opinions please

yeah, happened on 2 of my 12's and on a 9R, same stalk just on memory.

after-market original looking ones are not rubber more like hard plastic and are a bitch to get in successfully and fall out regularly ($70 ea), i tried some flush mounts and didn't like them so i have bought oem which are not cheap! but they have the CORRECT electrical plug at least.

Dealer says the rubbers are replaceable and not bonded $17 each getting them regardless. I like to keep all my stock bits just to be able to reverse any mods even though i have no intent of ever selling

flush mounts are the go. Look great and plenty bright from all directions.

Incandescent vs Bright LED, would go flush Bright LED any day.
