Anyone gone over Hotham recently

Just got back from riding Lakes Entrance to Omeo and back; couple of riders were complaining about the Hotham road (fires plus rain?) being all to shit. Was hoping to head back in a a couple of weeks, so has anyone got any recent experience?

Was closed when we came up that way on the Monday after WSB. We went the Omeo Hwy bacj towards Tallangatta, if you dont mind some dirt its a good option

How was the Falls Ck Rd - last time I rode it there was gravel all over it... but then again, they hadn't actually opened it officially

well it was......interesting
the tar sections were great, just had to keep an eye out for rogue logging trucks......the stuff that had been tarred only recently had been sprayed with gravel, so it was like riding on ball-bearings
which was shit - and the dirt sections were pretty bumpy but at least the surface was consistent.
The dude from the cafe at Omeo reckons that the contractors are meant to have the last remaining 14km of dirt all sealed by May !!! Not a chance in hell. Maybe May 2016 ??
It made the trip home a bit different, as was the trip down to PI this year. All up, a CDT with some new and interesting roads......
