Have decided when funds become available to buy a Z1000. Will have to be a cheapy, which probably rules out current model. If I not mistaken there are three newer models- is this right? Is the consensus that the middle model isn't very good? I have only ridden the Z1000SX. (think that is what it is called- fully faired 1000Ninja) It was a pretty impressive bit of kit. I have no plans to get rid of the ZRX. Gonna do a Phil. What is the opinion on the various models? Ta.
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R
Yeah I like Kawasakis.

I like the look of the first two, but if there is no advantage a first gen might be the go. Less than $5k they are a bargain.

The First gen does have more engine attitude, especially with a quality 4-1. Firey purchase one that had a twin system and then put an Akra on it, differnce was, um, substancial.....
I took the OE boat anchor off mine at put a titanium 4-1 Arata and the difference was unbeleliveable.
The second Gen got dumbed down a bit and made more "Hondaish" if you know what I mean.

What year is the Gen 1 series? Contemplating going down thius road myself, either that or I might go a V Strom but there's 2 problems with the strom idea, primarily they're ugly as all fuck, the other is of course it's a Suzuki
A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"
