Went for a mid week ride today, up from Raymond Terrace to Seaforth,Clarence Town and onto Bucketts Way heading up to Gloucester, i was not going as hard as Casey Stoner but i wasn't mucking around either, coming around a left hand bend before the Allworth Rd turnoff and theres a copper,red and blues flashing,brakes going on,hand out window raised telling me to stop, my hand had already grabbed the brake , a brief look down and the speedo showed 161 (i think this is an 80 zone), part of me thought just give em a high five and keep going...no kept the brake on,mind thinking through possible excuses. Copper reverses the car 20 odd meters to where i have stopped on the side of the road, lift my visor waiting for the attitude, wry smile on the coppers face and a look in his eye telling me he knew exactly what i was doing, then he says " Just stay there mate,got a large truck coming up ahead "," No worries mate" i reply..not believing what he has just said,he has an even bigger smirk now,must of read me like a book, and off he goes, F2ck that was close is all i'm thinking as the truck with mining equipment cruzes past, lucky he was busy on scout duty Any one else had a close one lately??

Yeah don't know what he would of clocked me at though as i hit the brake before i looked at the speedo
