ZXR750 K1 engine No. prefix???

Can anybody here shed any light on what the original ZXR750 K1 engine number prefix might be?
I know from experience that the standard J model ZXR's had (in Australia) a J in the engine number, but I don't know about the rarer K1 model engine numbers?
A source that I have been in contact with who supposedly has a ZXR750 K1 states it's engine number with the letter N it's it's number sequence.
Another source with a (I am certain) original unmolested K1 has the engine number with a J in it's sequence?
Any idea's.. anyone????
