Well, I will be well and truly buggered

Heres a challenge for the true technical afficionados

Bearing ID 92046A (Kawasaki Part Number) 92046-1258
Koyo (Manufacturer) ID BHM1725

Dimensions
ID - 17
OD - 24
Width - 20

This bearing isnt available ANYWHERE, and heres the scary part, this is the bearing that for the front of the Rear Suspension Saddle that joins to the Frame for
98 and 99 ZX6R
98 and 99 ZX9R

Think about how many of those would have been sold

If anyone can help me find a replacement it will be deeply appreciated.

Exactly how hard have you looked? Do Kawasaki Aus say they can't get on in from Japan? Have you tried any of the huge number of stores that sell genuine parts on line?

it is a "Drawn-cup needle roller bearing"
IKO bearing # TAM 1720 I think.

All the usual sites such as Rocky mountains etc, all no

Kawasaki Australia, none in stock, dont know what would be suitable for replacement
KOYO Australia, bout all they were good for were the measurements, the people that MAKE the bearing refused to offer an alternative

So yeah M icj, ive tried 1 or 2 of these jokers, several of em advise online that the part is available, but there is never any verification until you ring them, which I have, only to be told the part aint there

The worst part is my old one got sandblasted and powdercoated so im confident its borked

and then i look at Jonnos chart.....

every bearing ever made - is available *somewhere*.

Take the to any decent bearing shop and the will have them for you, if you get stuck a mate of mine owns a bearing and seal shop near me and im sure i could help you out

Advanced Bearings in Blacktown, got everything except the 3 needle rollers in the swingarm pivot, and no one but koyo makes that particular bearing so had to go genuine for it.
