Vented Pants?

I refuse to wear dragins or any type of jeans when riding as they offer bugger all protection so I wear alpine stars leather pants in a 2 piece combo, my question is has anyone ever heard of perforated or vented pants for summer riding?
I want to look at alternatives for the really hot days & for the 10K round trip to work & home where its less than a 10 minute ride.

haven't crash tested them but when its too hot for leathers I wear pair of dririder summer pants
