Hi guys I'm new round here so firstly just wanna say hi! Now I'm thinking of getting an akra link pipe I have a yoshi r55 slip on at the moment. Does anyone know if I have to do any moding like with sensors or anything on the 2010 model? Cos I have read that in the 2011/12 model you have to incorporate a sensor into the link pipe?
Has anyone done it? Do you loose much low down power due to lack of back pressure? I've heard differing opinions.
Thanks in advance

the 2010 zx10r will need a spot for the oxygen sensor as well. the akra link pipe will already have that hole for it. I got a racefit growler which connected right to the headers so I had to return on my akra link pipe. I just spun the exhaust around the oxygen sensor so I didn't have to disconnect it. the 2011 zx10r is the same deal, the akra link pipe will have a hole for the oxygen sensor (racefit exhaust is same, doesn't need link pipe).
I didn't really notice a lack of power, I did notice on my 2010 zx10r the bike didnt start first time anymore, usually 2nd or 3rd time. my gen4 still starts first go with the racefit growler.

I put the link pipe on and it was fine didn't have to play with the oxygen sensor as its further up the collectors. Sounds really good and I reckon I picked up a bit of power up high and no loss down low. I can notice a little loss of braking power from the engine when down shifting. I guess cos it's just breathing better. Very happy
