For those travelling to the Phillip Island GP...

Post by StuMiller »

Having just returned from Cowes, there are plenty of spots on the highway with roadworks.

Roadworks start around The Gurdies (where the giant worm is), there are multiple 40kph sections and plenty of 80kph sections with a poor road surface. Also, single lanes with flagmen and workers preparing bridge works etc.

Take some extra care and time and arrive safely.

There is also a new Woolworth's supermarket and other shops in Cowes on the right hand side, between Settlement Road and Church Street. There used to be a caravan park here....

Sorry, forgot to add, the ground is very wet and soft down there as they've had so much rain.

Cheers.

They're building a new highway that cuts out the Anderson roundabout and comes out near the Shearwater Resort, just before San Remo.

And don't forget the obligatory copper at Cranbourne golf club, sits in the driveway waiting for those that miss the speed limit change.
