Im going on 5 months and it sucks like ass.
Your injury isn't that bad 2-3 months and you should be back on a bike, provided your surgery is uncomplicated and you work on targeted shoulder and back muscles that will suffer wasting.

Think that's about how long I will be off the bike
Was yours a break or fracture? Did you have surgery?

3 1/2 weeks after i came off in the hills and broke my wrist, bruised a few ribs and some soft tissue damage, i had enough and cut my cast off to take the new bike for a spin.

Oh mate when i came of. I didn't see my bike for 2 week's as it was at a strangers house (who is now a good mate).
And yea my bone was broken in 2 places. They told me surgery wasn't needed as it should heal on its own. Surgery would only complicate things as for me my break was more near the arteries and nerves.
I sat on the bike as soon as it was delivered to my house. Was on it for a good 45 minutes at the least. Took it for a spin a month and a half down after the break as i had no pain. Almost put the bike down this time, trying to do a right hand u turn (license was expiring, wanted to see if i would be able to do the test). Yea anyway's the bike almost touched the ground and i picked it up with a fucked up shoulder. a bit of pain. But i'd advise not to do what i did as it was stupid. 2 month's into it i was riding. The doc's told me not to as if you fall of your back to square 1 in terms of healing.
So yea its up to you. I put my 2 cent's in hope you can learn from my mistakes lol

To be honest I'm not 100% sure.
I was knocked out and can't recall the accident or the 30 minutes after. The only person that stopped and witnessed the crash was the other driver involved
I was waiting in a turning lane, turning left onto grand junction rd - I turned into the left lane and that's all I remember.
He claimed it was my fault, said I came up and hit his mirror. He was in the right lane, so what seems more likely is that he changed lanes into me, I was doing 25-35km/h he would have been going 60km/h
His story doesn't add up completely, but I cannot argue because the lack of memory
So its said I went over the handle bars... It was all on my mates bike too which came out with minimal damage on the right hand fairing!
