Hey Folks,

I'm hoping to get the bike's roadworthy done soon so I can transfer the Rego. One of the last things I need to do is fit the 2 resistors to slow down the flashing of the LED Indicators.

Can anyone confirm where they need to be fitted? I was thinking under the dash, but I wasn't sure where the feed splits and goes from 1 point to both the front and rear.

change the blinker relay... save alot of effort putting the resistors in each side

load resistors get very hot as they actualy short between earth and positive so they need to be sinked to metal to help disipate the heat buildup they can get hot enough to melt insulation if you leave your blinkers on too long best to change the can (relay)it only cost a few dollars more but its much safer

Dan just buy a electronic flasher unit then you dont need resisters

i saw an LED blinker relay in supercheap auto the other day... in with some random motorcycle parts/accessories

Now to try and find out what part I need. I have the resistors already. But happy to go and get the relay of I can find Out what I need to ask for that will fit in the socket.

Went to the bike shop today and they had 2 and 3 prong ones. But they were for cars. Got home and pulled mine out and it is a 2 prong and the prongs are tiny. The ones they had the prongs were full size and the relays were large and round.

Will have a hunt around now I partly know what I need. Specs I have no idea just have to take the sellers word for it.

Stu. A little. I did go straight home afterwards and sleep for an hour though. Had trouble focusing my eyes and staying awake down the southern outlet.

Well I finally got around to buying a relay online... It did the trick.. EXCEPT.. The stupid Ace-Ian's that make it put a fucking beeper on it... So the bloody thing sounds like a farking truck in reverse.. WTF.. And they tell me its for safety.. who the fuck is gunna hear it other than the poor bastard on the bike stuck at the lights having to listen to it.. The moron in the cage with his windows up and his radio on isn't going too..

So I took to it with a knife.. it died, got it going again. Now I just have to hope it works long enough to pass the road worthy. I fitted it so that the original relay plug is still there so the old one can go back on.
