Just about finished running the new ZX14R in , Not sure If I like the tyres that are on there.
I do alot of riding in the hills and would appreciate any suggestions on a tyre choice as my last bikes were alot lighter (R1)

Yep, I love my M5's, Carbon Col also ran them on his 14 when he had it - no problems with them either. They are really good in the wet and wear well.

I like pilot powers good grip good pointy profile quickens steering up but the rear power don't last long .I also like pilot road 2 they also grip very very well modern sports touring tyres have got more grip than most blokes think .I get my tyres from jakewilson.com cheap as chips hope this helps

We get a lot of guys asking for the Michelin Pilot Road 3's or the Metzeler Z8's for the heavier bikes but the Pilot Powers are always a favoutite and the M5's also get good feed back.

Same bike and as soon as these tyres are a little more shot a set of Metzler M5's are going on it! I am going to put a 190/55 on the rear to give me a little more turn in.

You haven't pushed them hard enough then. The set I had let go more than a few times when you got them hot and pushed them. They were grippy in the wet and when it was really cold though.

Well i got 5 grandkids and certainly am not interested in pushing any shit up hill.
Back on topic i have never been a fan of pilot powers and i would think that on a bike like a zx14 with a rider that gives it a serve they wouldnt last long as well as being a bit squirmy under load.
