I am about to embark on a project to rebuild these.

Has anyone here done any work on zx14 forks, any problems I should be looking for???

your going to need a heat gun to get the cartridge apart their lock tighted and a good vise with soft jaws. the toothed socket for the cartridge.
and the oil sucker thingy to set the air gap
