Any one use WRP to supply & fit new boots on there kwaka?

Robert from WRP has quoted me a price over the phone and will fit them for free, seems reasonable.

The other option is buy the tyres myself else where and get glen @ allfixed to fit them for me.

Kind of works out the same price considering time/caging expense to lug tyres around.

Make sure the price is the same when you get there and make sure you know EXACTLY what you want.

Craig will tell you anything depending on what he has in stock and the price changes by the minute.

Also price depends in who you talk to in there. They don't seem to know what each other are doing.

Nice guys just not the most professional .

Make sure the tyres aren't years old. He sold Nelso a couple of second hand race tyres that looked like they had only done about 2 laps. They turned out to be years old and who knows how long he had been lugging them around in his truck.

Doesn't sound very confidence inspiring.

Told me over the phone, he would put a set aside for me; pay & fit on pick up if I place an order.

Its sounding like I should organise it myself & get glen to do it.

Edit.

Ok, Glen it is!

I've known Craig since 1998. we are friends and i have also worked for him, raced against him, and pitted for him over the years. i worked with him when the business started out and i was using tyre levers and rim protectors to change tyres!!!

my recommendation is you speak directly to Craig 0413461353.

it is his business, and if he wants repeat customers, you will find he would do the right thing by you.
like any business, he would want to get rid of old stock or over supplied stock... but theres your chance to get a better deal (may explain why Blurr says the prices change).

I had a great experience with Michael, great advice on tyres and top job putting them on, although it was done at the front of his place :).....the best thing is that they could do it after work and dont have to take time off work to get new tyres fitted.

Have been buying from Craig for years and have never had a problem, but as stated above, make sure you know what you want and know the pricing - then talk to Craig direct and negotiate.. Tell him your from KSRC and he "should" look after ya. You do have to fit into there opening times though..
Or - Get Glen at Allfixed to order them in for you as he gets product from Whites at a good price and can fit em for ya at your convienience

I've been dealing with Craig for donkeys, always looks after me ;) . I dont by tyres off him anymore as he doesnt do Metzlers (he used to ;) ), but I do by brake pads off him and have purchased oil on occasion as well.

In fact I only just spoke to Rob (who I have known form years as well) yesterday about some brake pads for my new calipers. Craig will be back Monday.

I used him a few times with no problem (besides him recommending whatever tyres he had in stock being the best available jerk.gif ), then he sold me the second hand slicks that were 5 years old which nearly spat me off at 200kph through turn one. I haven't bothered using him since. We get all of our tyres locally now; just as cheap, but without the bullshit he feeds you to get you to try whatever he has in stock.

Have used Craigs services a few times, not a complaint in the world. Just have to work around his timetable as previously mentioned.
