zzr 250 idle

Hi guys my mate bought a zzr 250 1994 and he is having idle problems if u twist the throdle it returns but still reving at 3 thou and higher then u use the idle screw on the left hand side and it brings it back to normal he has changed all the cables all the hose and cleaned needle and seats, floats and still having this problem even when u ride throdle sticks Any help would be great as he is on he L's and wants to get his P's

he may need to clean out the tank & check the tank diaphragm.
They deteriorate and let bits of crap through the lines.

That or a vacuum leak. You can find a vacuum leak by spraying wd40 around the intake areas and when the exhaust starts to smoke have a Jim Beam, you've found the leak.

my only other suggestion would be the carby butterflies. They are known to wear & stick - I had a similar issue with mine before I upgraded to the 600.

We found it to be throdle cable rusted up replaced it with new one. but Thomas will keep an eye on the butterflies Thanks for your input

We found it to be throdle cable rusted up replaced it with new one Thanks for your input and we had a lot of Jack Daniels and Bundy Rum (ahhhhh sore head) heavy like a concret slab
