Hi everyone!
Well shirena bought another car yesterday. Saw a bug for sale went around in the morning, saw it, fell in love with it, and bought it on the spot.
It is a 67 model converted to 12 volt, has race seats with a full racing seat belts and a 1600 cc engine, she even named it already, it is now called Bug-A-Lugs. It is in fantastic condition and has had a lot of money spent on it.
A lot of people will probably think she is crazy for buying a 43 year old car but life is about living we here for a good time not a long time.
So look out anyone visiting the island for some mad woman in a bright red VW.

A guy called Barry Ferguson, a great rally driver back in the day, had a great saying about these...
When you get them too sideways, they tuck in the back wheels and roll over.

My wife is an ex police highway patrol driver and she can drive a car pretty well, in fact she puts most men I know to shame. As far as rolling the bug, I owned one for two years never had a problem. Shirena have high level of driving skill and will drive the car in pretty safe manner not like some young zipper head. The car is going to be used mostly to go for our place to town and back. Shirena is looking forward to getting out on the road in something a little different and actually enjoying the drive. She is also going to enter it and a few car shows we have here.
Thanks for the comments, cya Dutchy

Pretty shiny too and you don't see many cars these days with running boards.

One of my mates had one just after we left school, a kid asked him one day "hey Mr, how did you get that mud on your roof"
The upside is they are easy to roll back over to the right way up

Something different indeed, I hope she loves every minute of it. And that it's reliable as hell when it comes to servicing
