My wife bought me a Gopro Hero2 camera for my motorcycle. It will be kind of fun to see what a shitty rider I am. As soon as the snow melts I'll let you know how it works. Cheers.

I got mine from gopro directly cost $300 but was then $90 for postage only took 7 days to get from us to sydney. But then researched them over here and there $400.

There an awesome unit had mine on my helmet and you can see where your struggling, but have had it on the jet ski and performed awesome there too :kuda:

Always, I mean always run the cam and get as much footage as you can, it is loads of fun :? sorting through hours of it to condense to a 3 min vid worthy of youtube, editing is where it is at and you dont wanna be disapointed you turned that camera of thinking nothing will happen ;)

Mind you there is lots of nothing to clip out too

Strika...one has to be careful when showing videos to the public.Image

Jonno...correct ,editing is where it is at,90% of the footage is not worthy and boring as pluck for most punters. ;)

h.b.bear...the flashing light you see is the battery warning...
Had to replace the batt on that particular trip, the only one available was a sealed unit with no provision for the sensor.
An easy fix by wiring the sensor straight to the positive side of the terminal. :kuda:

The worst part about having vids on youtube is the dick head comments you receive.
Fair enough, some of my clips show me riding without full safety gear "which is not very often" mind you...but I don't need to be told by some snotty nose yank wanker whats right for me.

oldman I've heard the the Gopro Hero2 cam is a much better unit, with the option of having an external mic and better picture quality. 8)

The + for me is that all my vids will remain there till well after I'm dead and buried. angel7.gif

Your safety gear is like mine. I mapped out my protective wear for hot days in another thread, but I squid with the best of them. And befucked if I wont hang wheelies and crank it in the turns too. Your right too, anyone who doesn't like it should shut the fuck up and mind their own fucking business.

But I always play it safe when i'm pissed. I'll wear my work boots home from the pub and leave the thongs strapped to the rack. ;)

Something i've wondered with these cams is how do you know whether its pointing in the right spot without seeing it played back?

They have a fish-eye lense which covers a fairly wide view angle.

You can also buy a lcd BacPac screen, as an extra add-on if required.

It was $155.00 including suction and sticky mounts and a USB cable. I had to buy a HDMI cable so I could watch it on TV. The roads have been a bit icy so no ride yet, but I did make a porn vid with my wife, (no you can't see it). That was kind of fun but I'm not a good porn star. Nothing exciting about watching old people fuck. Cheers!!
