Just curious as to how much each state charges for your bike rego.

Just got mine in the mail. $550!

From memory, that's much dearer that when I lived in Melbourne.

I can't remember exactly what it was last year, around $520- $550 I think. This year $112 for rego and $375.12 for green slip = $487.12 = Not to bad...

It's for your safety, you clearly don't realise know much UN safer you would be without that tax/levy

Oh and even more particularly thread related it's around $550-$575 metro Victoria and some $200 less if you live in a regioanl area, theory is that the TAC thinks you are far less likely to be involved in an accident in regional areas. Rego fee is the same state wide, TAC premium is reduced somehwat, this only came to light to me recently after Possum posteed her rego details and I made a phone call to Vic Roads confirming the above.
