was having a ride in a new housing estate near me and found this street name.
the estate used to be a racetrack (oran park), but was sold for housing; a frigging great loss; and in the spirit of housing developments and suburbia everywhere (cut all the trees down and name the streets after them!) all the streets are named after racers, both 2 and 4 wheeled ones.

I wouldn't either...unless I was rich enough to buy all the houses and land and make a long driveway...

Same! There's plenty of other land they could of used. Also plenty of other housing developments to choose from, half the people that live there wouldn't have the foggiest of what used to be there and why the street names are such

Another property rort by a Labor Government. No wonder the developers donate millions to keep them in power!

it seems to be the way. Take these places away from us then complain when people speed and generally play up.

What is done is done and you can't change it. If I was looking in that area in that style of development in that price range, It would be an attraction rather than a deterrent. Imagine people posting letters to Agostino Cct. Buy the house with his race number and watch the investment grow I say!!

Can't totally blame the developers, the owner of the land & circuit made the decision to sell it to developers rather than keep it as a track that probably wasn't making any money, not saying that its right, just an observation. Btw when the land was originally sold the old owner had made promises to build another track in another area with some of the absurd amount of money he got for the land. His tune changed pretty quick once the money was in his pocket!
