Has anyone know about what is the use of protective gears during biking? Share your thoughts.

Is this a serious question? Or is this more about an opportunity to flog snow gear?

The oil in the engine protects the "gears" when they are rotating.

Doesn't seem to be doing a good job in S1000RR gearboxes.

That's right, no amount of oil will fix the catastrophic gearbox failure that bmw continue to keep quiet about.

Perhaps the magnetic sump plug from S1000R gearboxes on oil changes is meant to look like, like the one featured below.
