my understanding is that any public land means you will need a rego'd enduro bike... any private mx park will be fine for mx bikes

I can say this, on all the trial rides I have been on and with dirtbike clubs at events not 1 KLX was seen at all, loads of WRF's, CRF's, DRZ's and mostly KTM's, less seen bikes such as the Husabergs and Husqvarna's are becoming slowly more common. Sometimes you might see an old KDX around but thats it for Kawasaki.
Would be a great bike if it was based on the current KX450F and not 4+ year old technology, totally left in the dark ages and not competitive.
The KX sells well so hopefully they make an enduro kit for it like some other brands do.

i dont get it , ryan villopoto wins the 2011 AMA motocross easily on the kx450f which the klx is based on. it should be a great bike, detuned motor and suspension , different gearing , i understand its not as good on the dirt as mx'r but kawasaki built a bike thats a good allrounder , dirt/commuting/road. try doing all that on the 300 ktm or any dirt specific enduro. i think you all underestimate the klx but it also depends what you want out of an enduro.
i want it all!!

Yes it was a good bike but it isnt a great bike now, it might be that the rumours of them dropping the KLX soon fits with why they haven't updated the thing for years.

To ride enduro type tracks...
I bought my husky for not a lot more than the outdated KLX, it comes with loads of extras that the KLX doesn't have, it handles and goes better and came with a free pit tent. ;)

I do commute on it to get to the next bit of awesome track :D

Too loosely based.

They actual power up kit for the KLX is to buy the KX head and valves and bolt them onto it.

The suspension and other bits I believe is also tuned down plus the KLX is a bit fatter in the body.

+1 these guys seem to be the closest to the mxer's in terms of enduro bikes.

I havn't been there and I think it is advance bookings only, looks and sounds good by all accounts.
Bit of a hike from Sydney and there is another property up the road a bit as well so I hear and would suit a weekend away more so than a day trip.

Well buy one . Huskies are "dirt" cheap second hand and its a buyer market out there .
Suposed to be great things , but felt a bit bland to me when I had a squirt on one .

Pussy girlie electric start 4 stroke poof bikes . Real men ride 2 strokes with kick start only

Yeah I've been there quite a but since I was a kid. It's pretty good, you need to prebook because they share it with 4wd's. But not at the same time you know? :)
