Hi guys

Trying to remove front sprocket locknut so that I can change it to -1. Have no luck so far. I have tried breaker bar with 27mm socket and back rim held up against swing arm with wood wrapped in towel, hit nut with a chisel few times to try and break it free with no luck also.
Don't have a compressor and rattle gun to try. Don't really want to go and buy just to try. May have to just take to shop to get it done.

By what gearing commander web page has calculated for a -1 / +2 sprocket change the distance between sprockets will be reduce by almost 5mm. From what I am measuring I have just about that, if not I will have to replace the chain. Stock chain is 112 links, why would gearing commander suggest keep the amount of links even? Is that for wear?

i've always just let the shop do mine has only ever costed $50. my 250 ninja was the same as what you mentioned, they hit it with the rattle gun and it didnt budge, not sure how they got it.

mate, u pretty well have to rattle gun em off.... supercheap sell em.... well cheap.. but u got no air.. u really need to crack em, i have used a big chisel and hammer in the past to crack em........ but then u will prob need a new nut.... and it is a rough way to do it.. i dont like doing it that way.. but sometimes u have to.

Got the bloody thing off this morning. Went out and looked for impact driver at supercheap, but no luck. Tried every motor shop I could find, but no one had them? Finally found in bunnings!!!! What the?
Got home a gave it a bash, which I assume loosened it off as then hit with chisel and came loose.

So wrapped that the -1/+2 sprocket setup didn't require a new chain as there were enough play.

I use an electric rattle gun. Madkaws got one
