Guys,
I'm doing my first track in Jan 2012 and want to know the best way to tie down my bike on the trailer. I can tie down from the forks but i've seen these tie downs that go around the handlebars and grips then pull down, are they any good...? I want to avoid marking my plastics.
Any feedback would be great, thanks.

Get a tyre down that goes over the rear wheel. Around $150 but well worth the money your bike will go nowhere and you won't do any damage compressing the forks for a long period of time.

Monkey straps or whatever they are called.
Best way is a
trailer mate from one of our ksrc sponsors Kaneg, a rear tyre strap like a
"tyredown" then you wont need to strap the front down.

If he doesn't want it Nelso I've got a mate that will buy it off you. How much do you want for it?
