Just finished 2 nd track day on my 08 zx10. A few issues, can anyone help.
First the clutch is very heavy compared to my old bike. Second the gearbox is notchy on downshift from 5 to 4. Third I hade the shift lever converted to race pattern and afterward the gear indicator isn't working.
The bike has done 14000kms. Is it just normal wear and tear to have a heavy clutch and notchy shifts?
Any fix suggestions on the gear indicator?
Cheers
Mark

Re: Heavy clutch notchy gearbox and gear indicator out
Gday,
Not sure about the clutch could be an adjustment issue, but if u have changed to race pattern make sure the geometry is right from the lever and linkage. the lever and rod should be as parallel as possible for a smoothe shift. Sometimes when you reverse the standard linkage you need to play around a little to find the "sweet" spot.

Also the gear indicator issue could also be the same prob as its not quite in the correct position during shifting.
