and this one is not in the news ...yet!
my stepdaughter turns up for dinner this evening...late
why..??
seems a bloke on a Yamaha something (she thinks)
decide to mono down Gipps St Collingwood tonite
between the slowly moving traffic in the middle of peak hour (5.45pm)
at around 80-90kmh
and then the lights ahead changed.....
the rider ended up under a car stopped at the lights
and the bike (missed everything) while sliding across the intersection
and got jammed under a parked car 60m down the road
The Firies hosed down the the bike, the police and ambos got the rider
into a MICA ambulance..concussion, definitely a broken leg
and possibly 2 arms as well....maybe internals
--------------------------------------
Is there something in the water..or what is it..????

This steams me

sorry folks but i reckon his insurance should default him n make him pay for his bike and any other damage. Our Premiums are expensive enough let alone subsidising "Glory Boys" & their frigging stunt schools on Public roads..
Rant over.

Got me stuffed how you can get a insurance claim out of a at fault accident anyway I reckon if you caused it you should pay.
Expensive insurance is caused by the companies need to pay a dividend to the share holder and also a wage of sorts to the company directors etc. they expect a certain amount of claims each year but as i said if they made the at fault ones pay for themselves they would be making a way bigger profit.
Up till i dropped the six i dont think i had made a claim in 18 years am i glad they made me take it with the finance.

Obviously not. He can't have been at Balance Point if he was going that fast

he could have been, i've seen balance point wheelies between 30kph and 150kph..... tho this guy doesn't seem to scream skill or intelligence to me
its not real smart doing it out on a freeway but at least its a continuous road where you have a fair bit of room to yourself. but doing it in a situation where this kinda thing could happen is just dumb, hats off to this one, whats the bet he was riding an R1?
