zx9r exhaust on z100 - help needed

I bought a 03 z1000, and the guy told me it has a zx9 exhaust on it. The exhaust is too quiet and I want to change it for something else that is a little louder (safer) because I'm sick of getting cut off by blind lazy drivers. I don't want to spend a lot of money on this, as money is currently getting spent of the car for a rebuild.

After searching and asking different shops, I haven't got anywhere and I'm still not sure what will fit on without any changes. It's a zx9 header and muffler with a custom mid pipe. So far I have found this info, but not certain it's what I have.

I thought the 2000-2003 used a slip on design? Don't the later model (E & F) use an exhaust with a removable mid pipe?

Here are some pics of bike and exhaust

Just get a slip on to suit a late model ZX9. If you're that worried, measure the diametre of the link pipe outlet to make sure the slip on will fit.

Slip on won't work, mid pipe has the flange welded onto it, and I can't cut it because it's near the bend and won't have any room to lock onto.

That's no good then. In that case if you can't find a cheep slip-on to fit, I would just pick up one of Macca's slip ons http://www.ksrc-au.com/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 17&t=36122 and get a new link pipe made up to fit it to your headers.
