Hi,
Looking at getting the new ninja. I'm well overdue for an upgrade does anyone own one already that can offer opinion? Do you like the bike, what you do and don't like about it. would be great.
Also I'm looking at getting rid of my old 06 ZX6R. Has 75k on the clock, I know massive. I don't ride it very hard though has a yoshi rs5 on it with K&N filter. What should I look at getting for this trade in or private sale?
Thanks

Re: Buying a new ZX10R
Awesome, prolly best sportsbike I have ridden stock but really is a track weapon and you wont see its potential on the road..
Pro's.
Handles very well,
steers very well.
Good power.
Traction control isnt too intrusive.
Feels like a 600.
Cons
Geared to high... 1st gear redline @ 160kmph, went to -1 front (r/l @ 130kmph) and +3 rear. (only did the rear sprocket change today so I have nfi)
Satin black paint marks easily.
Have to unbolt windshield to clean underneath.

Might have 75K but if its in good nick they should look past the KM's and esp if they take it for a test ride n see how good its runs aswell.

At least attempt to private sale, more money for you. If it doesnt sell for a month or 2, get it valued for a trade in and then bump your price somewhere inbetween what u initially asked and what the dealer values it at. If u get impatient then trade it in

Re: Buying a new ZX10R
Have a look on bikesales and position it as just cheaper than the lowest one of a similar age. You'll attract interest that way, let people test ride it, but then don't move much on the price.
You'll get more like that than trading I'd imagine, and good time to be selling at the moment with the weather so good. Then, get the best deal you can on the 10.
