First hills ride!

So just got back from my first proper ride on the Z1000.
I had an absolute ball, the zed is a true hooligans bike.
The only real issue was that I never could tell what gear I was in kept going for the next one when I was in 6th already, I think this has something to do with the short gearing. Hopefully I will get use to it!
Also will need to get some advice about suspension settings... Was ok but i feel it has a lot more to offer.
This is the result, still got some work to do!

Ive just ordered new pads front and back, new chain and want to whack on new sprokets hoping Friday/Sat.. to be out Sunday
