i will be test riding one on sat morning .Test riding any demo bike is as simple as going into a dealer and telling them your interested in it and you want a test ride bike x,y,z ect they will ask for a licence and take a copy , you'll have to fill out some forms and sign saying if you fuk it you pay , and on top some shops ask for a credit card impression as well , just don't bin it as it will cost about $4000 i think for the excess, some shops sent out another bike that you have to follow along as a requirement to ride their demo bikes. Depending on the shop , they may also have you ride a set route that you have to stick to.

Pretty spot on, unless they know you well.

Is this for the road, or track, or both?

Be interesting to hear what you think of it, I can warn you there is no way you will walk away without buying it

For me it will just be a road bike and the occasional track day

looking at your location........ Drop in and see Len and Chris at Kelen's in York Rd Penrith.... They will do their best to accommodate you.

Also the 2012 models are very close, so in the next couple of months there will be deals on the 2011 everywhere, so shop around. If you find a dealer that has a few he will be more negotiable than a dealer who has only the one 11 model ;)

Mmm salesmen!! bit of a story, not bikes, but cars. in 1987 my mate tony won 1st div in lotto, so when money came thru we headed off to the local dealer, he wanted a brock VL, we rocked up on bikes,GPZ1100, mine and tony on his GPZ550, now my mate is a tad scruffy!! so we walked in and started checking out this red brocky, over walks this tool, bleached blond hair, more gold chains than mrT!! tony has a chat then says he wants to road test one, well the tool says, 10 grand down 1st, tony says not putting money down till i test drive one 1st. tool says where would u get 33 grand to buy this!!! tony says fuck u wanker and walks out. now im standing there thinking fuck!!! so i said to this tool, my mate just won lotto and u just blew a sale, then walked out to. Couple of hrs later we rock up to another dealer, walk in start looking at this brock director, 8 grand dearer.Young salesman walks over and starts chatting, after 5mins he says u want to have a test drive, fuck yer tony says, so off we go. On return tony says sold mate. Now while waiting for bank transfer tony tells him what happend earlier, salesman picks up phone and rings quest holden asks for boss, then tells him what his salesman said, than thanks him for he just sold a 40 grand car. mmm to be a fly on the wall when he got his arse reemed!!!
