Wont be doing it this sunday
.Mike and i have done a couple of days together with preston race school and generally we both do the fast group.I will be trying the normal Mv practice days at broadford probably next month its cheaper and apparently more track time. I will post a report of that when i do it.

Went to broady last Friday. Quietest champions day I've ever been too.
There would have been less than 50 people there.
What kind of times are you guys running in fast?

times depend on who's there. i think if ur doing less than 104's u should be ok. im down to low 102s, best was 101.7 last year, but some days i still get hammered by the fast guys!!!if only a ride day, ie no race guys praticing, or doing setup, u would be ok.most of the reason i only ride the fast group is that the guys in yellow are either race guys or very good track guys. one thing ive found over the years is that the fast groups dont crash much, and there more aware of whats going on around them. Last time down the island i was in red, but wanted to drop down, but my mate who was there with me talked me out of it,(he's a ex top a grader)The reason is as he said that u learn a lot more following race guys, than road riders, no matter how quick they are. and his right. i dont race, im just a ride day junkie.but want to learn as much as i can. so im happy to watch the real fast guys, from behind!!!!

Yeh I ran in the fast group for the first time on Friday. Ran a best of 1.05 flat. I find that in the med there's way too much traffic for those kind of times. Every lap your passing half a dozen riders. Scott kept telling me to slide up to the fast and I finally did, was happy I did , was still passing guys and only 3 guys passed me so I obviously wasn't too slow for it.
Might be different the day before a race meet though. I'm just a track boy too.
Not sure what I should do next time at the island I don't think I'm fast enough for the fast boys but I get way to much traffic with the med/fast. Not sure if that's cause peps move up too quick or not???
We've probably crossed paths at the track before!

as u found out, if u going ok then yep, fast group is best. Guys kno what there doing, dont mess up much, so a lot less chances of been taken out!!ride by the fast group rules, and when they get to kno u, u will get there respect. They will get close sometimes tho!! i had one guy whos name i wont mention, put a elbo into my shoulder at turn 1 at PI, was deliberate, i passed him under the bridge and maybe he didnt like been overtaken!!! stay in fast at broady, u will enjoy it more. i ride a green 07 10, orange belly pan and ripped cheqered flags painted on sides, madazz pipes, and u cant miss me, 6ft3 shaven head, and goaty most times, so if u up there one day, drop over and say hi.

Absolutely will do. I've been riding an 04 ZX6RR for the past 5 years it had a green paint job with orange/green/grey camo over it so I was a bit hard to miss!
Now I'm on an 09 6 (green/black) Triways old bike, looking forward to getting to the island on it.

Yep, seen ur bike there, u use the bottom bays, north facing? i allways use top bays, easier to get out, and u can watch the action. Tho it gets hot up there in summer!!
