Hi,

I'm thinking of changing my insurance from SWANN to Insure My Ride as their premium looks better.

Has anyone had any dealings with IMR ?

Thanks, Jenny :)

Hi Jenny,
I found they offered a good price, but check out QBE as well, I found what they offered and their price was great. the people that recommended them to me said they where good to deal with, and when I asked for agreed value it was no stuff around.

I have my 2007 ZX6 with IMR. Excellent price, easy to talk to and so far, so good.

Highly recommended!

It's all meaningless until you hear from someone who's made a claim...

Exactly, that's why I asked ;)

I'm sticking with SWANN as they were able to bump up my sum insured and drop the premium down by $105.

Thanks for your comments.

That would be me, then .....

I wrote off my Z750 in January this year. Rang IMR, made a claim over the phone, bike was picked up 2 days later.
Their repairer/assessing centre was Collide-a-Scope ( I think they're at Artarmon ) . Paid out in full ( less $400 excess )
3 weeks later.

I then asked about insurance for my ER-6n, which I'd dragged out of retirement - no problem, supplied a quote which was competitive,
so I'm still with them.

I have made a claim about 2 and 1/2 years ago and there is a reason that they are cheaper -
If your bike/ claim is worth more than $10,000 it has to be approved by head office. I had to wait about 4 weeks to get the payment as they could not clear the funds for that month as they had already reached their payout limit (WTF!). At least that was the story given to me at the time. The whole process was not a problem from getting it assessed and getting the money only that it took a little longer than I would have thought

It wasn't an issue for me as I did not use the bike to commute, but if you do just be prepared to wait a little longer and factor that in.
